Day 3
"Connection is the energy that is created between people when they feel seen, heard and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement" Brene Brown.
After checking in with "wind whispers", we then began to delve into how to design for good process in our work.
The 8 Breaths of Design is a way to consider any large scale project or change initiative. Frank and Dee stepped us through the 8 breaths of design in an engaging dialogue with each other, and we also learned another useful participatory design tool: the Chaordic Stepping Stones.

Need, Purpose and Powerful Questions
Participants were introduced to the triangle of need, purpose and powerful questions as a simple tool for designing conversations that matter. We inquired into what makes a powerful question in different contexts.

Designing for Wiser Action (D4WA)
Designing for Wiser Action is a powerful design tool, originally developed in Australia and now used all over the world. It is a great way to move participatory and collaborative projects forward, and to harness the knowledge and energy of diverse perspectives. Four participants asked for help with their projects, with others offering their wisdom in the process.
Nuu-chah-nulth tribal wisdom - remember the practice of APHEI:
It is kind to ask for help
A person who cannot ask for help cannot be trusted

Collective Story Harvest
Is a wonderful process that enables us to practice deep listening, make collective meaning of experiences, and delve deeper into the learning and insights provided through our stories.
Jane and Dee offered the story of the origin and development of the Australian Art of Hosting Community of Practice

Meta harvest: Eagle Dreaming
The META HARVEST was undertaken by a small group of dedicated participants, who worked creatively and collectively to synthesis the training and their learning into a wonderful performance/dance/ritual/spoken word.
"I call the Eagle guardian, a guide
I call the echidna, grounded in the earth, sharp quills surrounding soft belly
I call the spirit of sacred waterfalls, powerful fluid flow
falling, falling into the river below"
